When I wrote my book about how to twitter and spent 3 months researching Twitter and creating how to videos I was convinced I was going to make a boat load of money off of my Twitter How To blog, book and videos.  

Had I listened to some friends I would have made boat loads of money.  Instead I sold 394 Twitter Fairy Books but didn’t have an Authorize.net account and I lost all that revenue and those 394 people got my book for free - this broke my heart and I gave up. 

I was convinced that twitter was just a time vacuum and a worthless investment of energy and hope.  Well it’s a year later and I have found that my website is still getting a few thousand unique visitors a month even though I haven’t posted a thing in over a year. 

So what’s with the new post????

I see that my book is valuable after all and people do care what I have to say.  I have been active on Facebook but not promoting anything.  I have logged into to twitter a few times to check up on my adult children but haven’t promoted anything and I still have thousands of followers. 

So - here it goes again…… The Twitter Fairy has returned - with a new mission  - leverage my knowledge and vast network to increase traffic to my favorite websites - have fun and make my money elsewhere!

This my friends is the RIGHT way to welcome someone when they follow you. 

Now I wish that I could do this to all my new followers but I don’t, I don’t take the time like I used too.  It’s not easy but I do respond to all @ replies and to all DMs that are personal and recently I have been responding to the Auto Welcome DM’s too as I wrote in the above post.

I also check out profiles of new followers and make sure that they are peeps that I want to be associated with and when I find a stand out profile or blog I will DM or @reply as appropriate. 

It is my hope that peeps will turn off their auto DM’s and take some time to engage and communicate because that’s what Twitter is all about.
